How do I join?
All you have to do is show up to our next run! If you are interested in returning, you can become a member for free to get weekly email communications about our runs. You can also join our Facebook group to keep up with club updates.
Will I have anyone to run with?
We usually have 10-20 people at a group run, and they naturally break out into a few different pace groups. Typical paces range between 7 and 12 minutes per mile, but if you're on the slower end of that range we encourage you to post in the Facebook group or email us prior to the run so we can be sure you'll have company if you desire. Also - feel free to bring a friend!
What if I’m super slow?
That's OK! We’ll try to have someone run your pace with you. However, we recommend you take a look at the route (Weekly Runs or Facebook Events) ahead of time if you can. Also, you might want to get started at our Monday runs, which typically have more people and easier-to-follow routes.
What if I’m super fast?
There are a lot of fast people in the club too! There are several sub 2:40 marathoners, even a couple sub 2:30 marathoners who frequent our runs and events.
Does the club do anything except run?
Yes! We sometimes go out for dinner or ice cream after our runs, and we’ve also held a few picnics. Social options will be posted on the Facebook page and sent out in weekly email communications. There's also an active Discord group where folks can post their own activities!
Does the club enter races together?
Yes! We have featured races on a monthly basis that many of our members attend. We post these in our Featured Races page, send email communications, and create events in the Facebook group. Also, we always are looking for people to join our Cross Country teams for the fall! (All abilities welcome - a passion toward putting your best foot forward is what we'll be looking for!)
What benefits do I get for joining?
All members: Communications on group runs (including track workouts when they're being hosted), non-running social events, apparel, camaraderie, and a way to stay healthy and improve your running while making friends!
