Join one of our relay teams for the Bridle Trails Winter Festival! Every January, we put together a number of relay teams for this event, which takes place in Bridle Trails State Park. Each team consists of up to six runners who trade off to complete six 5.2 mile loops for a total of 50k. The race for 2026 starts at 8am, and therefore there will be NO running in the dark! We try to build the teams evenly making it fun and exciting to see how we will finish amongst ourselves (we'll mix faster and slower runners). All paces and efforts are welcome! We'll set up a tent during the event, so that when you are not running, you can cheer, warm up, and enjoy snacks!
In order to participate on one of our teams, you'll need to be a member of LSRC (Free or Full) and answer a few questions upon registering so that we can best accommodate everyone's preferences and make it as fun as possible!
1. How many 5.2 mile loops do you wish to run? (Just one or are you ok running two)
2. When would you prefer to run? (Early loops starting at 8am to 9:30am, or later loops starting between ~10am to around noon)
3. What effort are you expecting to run? (Equivalent road pace in min/mi).
4. Any special requests or time constraints you may have.
Please register on THIS page by Thursday, January 7 at 9pm. We will request a $30 donation which will help cover the cost of registering the teams.
Once the registration period has ended, we will build the teams based on the answers to the questions and provide email updates leading up to the event that will include which team you've been assigned to, and the approximate time(s) you will be running. The email(s) may also include information about the event waiver that must be signed before we pick up our bibs on race day.
